“If I die Young” was released by The Band Perry in late 2010. For many people it seems to have managed to emphasise the importance of life by talking directly about death. Though the melody and lyrics may be too saccharine for some this is still a rare trick.
The song has managed to stick around in the public consciousness since release, with #ifidieyoung recently trending on Twitter:
