Death Cafe Tucson Arizona

The Friendly and Fearless Tucson Death Cafe invites you to our first meeting on Tuesday, December 4th, from 4:00-5:30PM. Join us for conversation, tea and noshables in the Community Room at Bookman's on the corner of Grant and Campbell. We will meet on the First Tuesdays at 4:00PM in the same place through the winter. The point of all this, you ask? To open safe and relaxed dialogue around the topics of death and dying, so we may go forth with compassion toward ourselves and others, making the most of our [finite] lives while we are here.

We have no agenda other than to actively listen to each other's stories and feel uplifted by the courage and wisdom of the group experience.

Kristine Bentz

The afternoon will be hosted by Kristine Bentz, a Life-Cycle Celebrant® and Home Funeral Guide and Cindy Whitehead, a nurse in a Tucson Hospice organization. There is no cost for the event, although donations are welcome to offset the costs of drinks and snacks provided by your hosts. Please join us! We welcome your RSVP, although it is not necessary. To learn more please visit:www.facebook.com/TucsonDeathCafe or contact Kristine via the Facebook Event listing

  1. Thank you for the information. I would give 100% of my support to these discussions because I believe it's good to open the topic of death and dying to hospice patients. There's no need be on denial, and we should all accept our fate. At the same time, it also feels nice to be part of a group that listens and understands your situation. When my uncle attended this talk, I came along. All I can say is that, I like their philosophies.
