Natural Death Centre Death Cafe



This will be fundraising event celebrating the 21st birthday of the Natural Death Centre.
It will be hosted by Jon Underwood and Josefine Speyer at the former offices of the Natural Death Centre and home of the founders.
Come and join us for a free flowing conversation around the topic of death. Whilst sitting comfortably in a relaxed setting, drink tea and eat delicious cake or sandwiches and enjoy an open, respectful and confidential space for discussion, free of discrimination where people can express their views safely.

Josefine Speyer is a psychotherapist, co-founder and patron of the Natural Death Centre. (1991), which aims to help improve the quality of dying and bereavement and encourages environmentally friendly funerals and natural burial.  
She was a co-founder, trainer, supervisor and co-ordinator of the Befriending Network (1994), providing volunteers to support people with life-threatening illnesses at home.
Josefine has a special interest in the psycho-spiritual dimension of dying and bereavement and in death education. She runs workshops and seminars and for over four years was a supervisor for a bereavement service.
