Death Cafe Santa Fe with Elyzabeth Stow

Monday June 17 6:30-8p
Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen
1512 Pacheco Street  Santa Fe
Sponsored by Caregiving Collective

The Death Cafe is a free event where people gather in a relaxed and safe setting to discuss mortality, take tea or your favorite beverage and share delicious foods ( cake or cookies or?)

It is not a processing group for grief, nor is it a forum for debate.

Jon Underwood hosted the first British cafe in 2011 after hearing of sociologist Bernard Crettaz 'Cafe Mortels' in Switzerland and France.

Underwood says, " We don't want to shove death down peoples throats.  We just want to create an environment where talking about death is natural and becomes comfortable."

The evening will have two facilitators and some ground rules will be set out at the introduction.

There is no intention of leading the participants toward any particular conclusion, product or course of action.

Simply a relaxed hour and a half of exploring mortality...Yours, Mine and Ours.

If you would like to participate in this cafe, please email Elyzabeth at: peas4now@gmail.com with your name, city, state and how you heard of the event.
