Santa Fe's Second Death Cafe

DEATH CAFE  Santa Fe
Monday July 22  6:30-8:30pm
Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen
1512 Pacheco Street  Santa Fe
Sponsored by Desert Spring Care Management

The Death Cafe is a free event where people gather in a relaxed and safe setting to discuss mortality, take tea or your favorite beverage and share delicious foods.
It is not a processing group for grief, nor is it a forum for debate.
Jon Underwood hosted the first British cafe in 2011 after hearing of sociologist Bernard Crettaz 'Cafe Mortels' in Switzerland and France.
Since those beginning cafe's, Death Cafe's have been popping up in cities all over the U.S. and Europe assisting the taboo subject to become a more easily thought of and discussed topic.
Santa Fe had its first Death Cafe' on June 17 with a fine turn out of 33 people.
We welcome back any and all of those folks, as well as new participants to the evening.
There is no intention of leading the participants toward any particular conclusion, product or course of action.

Denys Cope, RN,BSN, MSS and local hospice nurse, Healthcare Consultant, End of Life Coach, author and sponsor of Santa Fe Doorways will be facilitating the evening with me.

We will be providing refreshments and beverages and ask those attending NOT to bring pot-luck type items to share.

Sweetwater Kitchen will have the following foods to purchase:

Sweetwater House Salad w/ organic mixed greens, quinoa, feta + almonds in a lime, honey + tahini dressing $8
Sesame Soba Noodle + Kale Salad w/ spicy citrus-soy dressing + grilled organic tofu $8
Santa Fe Wrap w/roasted corn, black beans, fresh tomato + chipotle cream cheese in a spinach tortilla $8

If you would like to participate in this cafe, please email Elyzabeth at: peas4now@gmail.com with your name, city, state and how you heard of the event.
And if you would like to order any of the offerings from Sweetwater's above menu, kindly include that info in your registration reply, stating clearly what it is you would like.

I look forward to another evening of sharing and deep listening on this topic so personal to us all.

Sincerely,
Elyzabeth Stow,  LPN

Please share this invite with those you feel would be interested.
And if you would not like to receive this mailing regarding up coming cafe's, kindly let me know and I will remove your name from the mailing list.
