The event is free, but we request that you enjoy some of The Upper Crust’s tasty coffee or bakery treats while you attend. (We recommend the individual cakes – especially the carrot cake or Italian cream cake!)
Please RSVP to this event, as space will be limited. You may email us at deathcafecolumbia @ gmail.com or find us on Facebook and message or RSVP to our event on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/deathcafecolumbiamissouri.
Ashley Gage, MSW
Ashley is a former medical social worker and is currently a Senior Research Specialist on the ACTIVE study, a project that focuses on hospice caregivers. She is also a doctoral candidate at the University of Missouri, School of Social Work. As a social worker, Ashley is compelled to advocate for positive social change and the Death Café aligns with this principle. Therefore, her intent to introduce the death café to the Central Missouri community offers a chance to provide a real world solution to the challenge of discussing life’s most certain aspect: death.
